ABOUT ALYSSA SPRY

 

Behind the Lens...

 

      Alyssa is a Professional Photography in the Sudbury & Sault Ste. Marie area. After completing two years of Photography at Sault College, a six-month Photography Program and finishing a course through the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) she developed many new techniques that set her apart from other Photographers. She is also currently a Photography Professor at Cambrian College.

 

     As a passionate photographer, Alyssa's goal is to intrigue and impress her viewers when they look at her work. Alyssa tries to approach a wide scale of subjects in a multi-layered way, creating situations in which everyday objects are altered or detached from their natural function. She often tries to create results that the meaning is shifted and possible interpretations of her work become multifaceted. In her work, she reveals the beauty within the ugly, the peace within the chaos, and the simplicity within the complex.

 

     Being an outdoor enthusiast, Alyssa loves searching for unique new concepts and ideal locations in a different atmosphere. When not shooting with her camera, she enjoys hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. Alyssa currently resides in Sudbury with her Husband and Daughter.
